Introduction

Welcome to Kinoko-ya. I am Hiroshi Takahashi, and I live in Kawaguchi-city, which is adjoining the northern area of Tokyo.
Kinoko means mushrooms in Japanese, and Kinoko-ya nearly adds up to mushroomer, but I don't cultivate or sell. I am an amateur photographer, shooting only mushrooms and other fungi.
I joined the Saitama Mushroom Club in 1994, and began to look for wild mushrooms. This site was started in 1996. In the beginning, the contents was a record of all the wild mushrooms that I ate. However, while taking the photographs for my site, I was charmed by the beauty of mushrooms, and also got interested in poisonous mushrooms and diddy mushrooms whitch are not edible. I enjoy mushroom-shooting by camera more than mushroom-hunting for eating!
Especially, after getting a digital camera in spring of 1998, I started to take more photographs than before. Digital cameras are very economical, because they don't require films, development or prints. Now I have two digital cameras, and have started to use them for micrographs.
I plan to upload more photographs little by little. There may be some misidentification. If you find any mistakes, please let me know what it is.
